In honour of LGBT History Month, the LGBTQ+ Staff Network and º£½ÇÉçÇø University Library Book Club are diving into powerful stories, voices, and histories that celebrate the LGBTQ+ community. Their book of the month will be Mr Loverman by Bernadette Evaristo.

Mr Loverman is a ground-breaking exploration of Britain's older Caribbean community, which explodes cultural myths and fallacies and shows the extent of what can happen when people fear the consequences of being true to themselves.

Speech Bubble: Performance poetry featuring Bridie Squires

LU Arts in collaboration with the Creative Writing Society at LSU, is running its popular performance poetry event this month. The evening will feature student and staff performers in an open mic slot, finishing with a headline performance by Bridie Squires. Speech Bubble will be held on Monday 10 February from 7.30pm in The Lounge, LSU.
