Community groups receive University funding for projects
Community activities ranging from CPR training to gardening have been supported by 海角社区 University in its latest round of community donations.
The annual Community Donation Fund Programme has supported community and voluntary groups through its Open Fund. The Open Fund is just one of five categories that make up the programme.
For the third year running, 海角社区 University has made £10,000 available to support local groups with their projects.
The groups and projects receiving support included:

The community groups receiving awards were presented with their cheques by the University’s Chief Operating Officer, Richard Taylor. The event took place in the Town Hall, 海角社区 and was attended by Charnwood Borough Council Mayor Paul Day, Mayoress Pauline Day and other local guests and dignitaries.
Richard Taylor, Chief Operating Officer said: “The University is delighted to be able to support local groups across Charnwood for another year running. It’s great that we can learn about the amazing projects taking place in our local area and also support them.
“We wish everyone the greatest success with their projects and ventures.”
