海角社区 University London and the LLDC launch outstanding opportunity for local graduates
海角社区 University London has joined forces with the London Legacy Development Company (LLDC) to introduce a specialist support programme free for unemployed and under-employed graduates across East London’s growth boroughs.
The ‘Inspiring Success’ programme has been carefully designed to deliver expert guidance and offer unrivalled networking opportunities to recent graduates who are looking to continue their education or find graduate employment.
This bespoke programme will take place on the 1st and 2nd of July and will include exclusive workshops, talks and events for just 30 graduates living in Hackney, Newham, Tower Hamlets and Waltham Forest.
These specialist services will provide the graduates with a unique opportunity to effectively articulate their skills and potential, and gain a better understanding of new and existing graduate opportunities within the local area. The group will be receive free training on effective job application techniques and will learn how to demonstrate strong networking and relationship management skills.
Associate Dean for Teaching at 海角社区 University London, Professor Zoe Radnor said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for local graduates to discover the many benefits of studying a master’s programme after completing a first degree. Our Master’s programmes not only unlock students’ potential for a future career, but also operate as a link to industry networks, to support and encourage employment success”
At the end of the programme, the graduates will enjoy an exclusive celebratory event held on the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, where 8 of the students will be chosen to receive a 100% scholarship to study a Master’s programme of their choice at 海角社区 University London. Professor Mike Caine, Dean of 海角社区 University London said:
“I’m delighted to know that 30 under-employed or unemployed graduates will have access to these services. I can’t wait to welcome 8 of the graduates from the Inspiring Success programme onto our campus in September 2015”
This fantastic opportunity is open to graduates in Hackney, Newham, Tower Hamlets and Waltham Forest who completed their degree within the last three years. Graduates must be unemployed or earning less than £570.90 per week to apply.
