Get Ahead Together

Get Ahead Together (GAT) is a group mentoring programme run for Part A, Part B and Pre-Placement Part C* students. Through the programme you will get first-hand advice from your knowledgeable peer mentors as well as access specialised information from our experienced Student Services staff at º£½ÇÉçÇø University.

As a member of the Get Ahead Together Programme (GAT) you will:

  • Be part of a community with like-minded peers, who will also be studying in your same academic school
  • Get supported with your transition into and progression through life at university
  • Gain timely and relevant knowledge on the skills and resources you need to ease your 1st / Pre-placement year at university

*Due to resource restrictions and in line with the APP Targets, Get Ahead Together Part B and C will only be open to black (African and Caribbean) and South Asian (Bangladeshi, Indian and Pakistani) heritage students.

  • A free weekly meal!
  • A workbook full of useful resources, tips and activities

  • The opportunity to progress towards a . Evidence of investment you make in your development to increase your employability

 

Get Ahead Together (GAT) Sessions:

Get Ahead Together is a programme led by students for students, indeed, our sessions are co-designed and co-delivered with GAT Mentors and Members.

Semester One Sessions – These take place throughout October - November. The sessions are run by the Student Success Team and the peer mentoring sessions are co-designed and delivered by students for students.
